Abstract:

  • SQL not just for reading tables:
  • monitor the system with SQL
  • integrate IBM i services into your applications

Date: Tuesday 28 July 5.00 pm

Let’s start the cycle of technical Webinars for IBM i Developers talking about IBM i Services SQL: a collection of services to be called via SQL as normal functions (UDF), tables (UDTF) or procedures (Stored Procedures) that allow you to query and interact with the IBM i system in a simple way, directly from SQL Script or from SQL Embedded, inside ILE RPG, ILE Cobol or from all Open Source languages that now run very well on IBM i.

What can we do with IBM i Services SQL?

  • Work on active Data Queues / Data Areas / Environment Variables / Joblogs / jobs
  • Work on network services and settings and security
  • IFS / Libraries
  • Java
  • Journal
  • PTF / Storage / Health
  • Spool

With IBM i Service SQL we can do many things … without reinventing hot water … therefore it is important to stay up to date with the IBM i operating system versions.

In this session our Blogger Marco Riva takes us to the discovery of these services … with concrete examples of use …

We are waiting for you
